Wie funktioniert die Nachweismethode genau?

Pollupatches bestehen aus einer speziellen Bioplastik, welche große Poren besitzt, in die Schadstoffe wie Formaldehyd eindringen. In dem Inneren des Gels befindet sich ein Bioindikator, welcher sensibel auf Formaldehyd reagiert. Diese Reaktion führt zum Abbau der grünen Färbung und einer Farbänderung in Richtung gelb, orange bis rot. Diese Farbänderung ist einfach mit dem bloßen Auge erkennbar.

Sind die Patches gefährlich?

Nein. Die Patches bestehen nur aus gesundheitlich unbedenklichen Stoffen. Bei der Entwicklung wurde darauf geachtet, dass keinerlei Gefahrstoffe, Gifte oder aggressive Chemikalien eingesetzt werden. Der Patch ist jedoch nicht zum Verzehr geeignet und wir raten, die Patches möglichst unzugänglich für Tiere und Kinder aufzubewahren. Vergewissern Sie sich auch, dass sie alle Patches wieder nach der Nutzung entsorgen.

Wie kann ich die Patches entsorgen?

Die Patches bestehen aus biologisch abbaubaren Materialien und können einfach im normalen Rest- oder Biomüll entsorgt werden. Sie können nach der Anwendung die Patches auch Zerbröseln und in als biologischen Dünger weiterverwenden.

I've had problems in my room for a long time. It started with the fact that I often had the feeling that something was wrong in the room. It's difficult for me to air the room regularly because I live next to a street and it's otherwise very noisy, especially at night. After I had unsuccessfully bought sensors for several hundred euros, I was not a step further. With the patches I was finally able to identify an old piece of furniture as the cause and replace it directly. Now my values are much better than before and most importantly the whole process was quick and easy. If I had known about this earlier, I would have saved myself a lot of money.

How exactly does the detection method work?

Pollupatches consist of a special bioplastic, which has large pores into which pollutants such as formaldehyde can penetrate. Inside the gel is a bio-indicator that is sensitive to formaldehyde. This reaction leads to the degradation of the green color and a color change towards yellow, orange and red. This color change is easily visible to the naked eye.

Are the patches dangerous?

No. The patches consist only of substances that are harmless to health. During development, care was taken to ensure that no hazardous substances, poisons or aggressive chemicals were used.

However, the patch is not suitable for consumption and we advise keeping the patches out of the reach of animals and children. Also make sure to discard any patches after use.

How can I dispose of the patches?

The patches are made of biodegradable materials and can be easily disposed of with normal residual or organic waste. You can also crumble the patches after use and use them as biological fertilizer.

How do I know my results were correct?

Each test kit includes a positive and a negative control. This way you can be sure that the test kit works and that your results are meaningful.
