Die Nachweisreaktion ist dabei so eingestellt, dass erst eine Verfärbung ab einer Konzentration äquivalent zu 0.063 (+/- 10%) mg/m³ Formaldehyd eintritt.

It turns out to be a challenge to see the problem at all, after all, air pollutants are invisible. Even electronic sensors are usually not very site-specific and only give a vague statement about the origin of the formaldehyde. The fine electrochemical sensors are often even misled by impurities such as alcohol.
