Pollupatches bestehen aus einer speziellen Bioplastik, welche große Poren besitzt in die Schadstoffe wie Formaldehyd eindringen. In dem Inneren des Gels befindet sich ein Bioindikator, welcher sensibel auf Formaldehyd reagiert. Diese Reaktion führt zum Abbau der grünen Färbung und einer Farbänderung in Richtung gelb, orange bis rot. Diese Farbändeurng ist einfach mit dem bloßen Auge erkennbar.
Nein. Die Patches bestehen nur aus gesundheitlich unbedenklichen Stoffen. Bei der Entwicklung wurde darauf geachtet, dass keinerlei Gefahrstoffe, Gifte oder aggressive Chemikalien eingesezt werden.
